Huy and Julie’s wedding in Santa Clara was wonderful! The day started out with a traditional Western style ceremony at the historical Ainsley House in Campbell, followed by a beautifully colorful and delightfully intimate Vietnamese ceremony at Huy’s parents’ house. The Vietnamese ceremony was really fun - it was nice to see all the different traditions - especially the various ways respects are paid to the elders - bowing before the grandparents and thanking them. The love and happiness in the family was obvious all day. And of course, the food was great! Following the second ceremony was a reception at the Decathlon Club in Santa Clara. I’d never shot there before, but I hope I get to shoot there again - it’s one of my favorite venues! Spacious and beautifully decorated with an indoor stream and plants, there was a never-ending array of photographic opportunities. We had plenty of room to set up our Photo Booth, which was a big hit, especially with the youngsters. One of the highlights for me: as I was packing up, one of the kids that had spent a good amount of time around the photo booth expressed dismay that we were leaving and said "This was the BEST DAY EVER!" I’d have to agree with him! My team and I (thanks to Breck and Angela for helping me out) had a wonderful time. Thanks to Huy and Julie and there families for including us in this spectacular day!
