Christine and Matt had a beautiful wedding in Yuba City. My second shooter Erika and I had a great time – these two are a joy to work with – fun, laid-back, stress free (well, Matt was a tiny bit stressed, but Chrissy was one of the calmest brides I’ve ever seen!) and… they really know how to kiss! A quick look through my portfolio will reveal that I’m partial to a good smooch shot… and Matt and Chrissy gave me lots of material to work with. Their friends and family were loads of fun too – some touching, emotion-filled speeches and, of course, a fun-filled party – you know it will be a good time when there’s a table full of candy and a make-your-own margarita machine! A nice big wedding party (21 total!) and a bunch of extremely adorable kids running around made for some great photographic moments. And as a special bonus, we got to indulge Chrissy’s love for all things Disney by doing a little Cinderella re-enactment on the church steps. I’m really looking forward to shooting with them again for their post-wedding session – I’m sure there’ll be lots more kissing! Congratulations you two!

Kevin works as a volunteer firefighter in Sacramento, and was able to borrow their antique fire engine for a red-hot engagement session in Elk Grove. Angela and Kevin are a really fun couple – they were laughing and enjoying themselves the whole time, so it was only natural that we take some photos at the nearby playground as well, which happened to have a fire engine of its own. I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding at the Lake Natoma Inn in June – I’m sure there’ll be lots more fun and laughter!
I had a great time wandering around Old Sacramento for Christine and Matt’s engagement session. They were one of those couples who were just having fun right off the bat – natural and comfortable in front of the camera, and most importantly, with each other! Lots of smiles, and they really seemed to be enjoying the kissing part… I’m really looking forward to their wedding in Yuba City at the end of the month – I’m sure there’ll be lots more smiles, and probably a few kisses as well.
